Freedom exists only at the level of the senses or feelings

In his book [Tazkiyah (Purification of the Soul)], Maulana Wahiduddin Khan says “The seeker of Tazkiyah mus discover the reality that his sense of ‘I’ exists only at the level of his own senses, or feelings. It doesn’t exists in reality; he has no power over anything outside of his own feelings. He exercise no power over matters of his life and death, the life support system, the divine court, etc.”

From this, I was able to draw a very meaningful inference. That is, our so called freedom exists only at the level of our senses or feelings.
