Deep dive into Bisnesso leveraging Redux RTK Query API for data fetching and caching.

I started working on the client side of Bisnesso using React and Redux, going into the terra incognita beyond tutorials and online courses such as front-end masters, Full Stack open, and others to build a real product using modern front-end libraries for the first time.

I also started Leetcode today (11 Feb 2023) and collaborating with Umar Hamza. I solved two questions on the first day with Umar, and I want to do this every day – even if I will solve only one question a day.

What inspired me to do this? Well, Bianca suggested this exercise: Happy numbers in Code and Coffee, and when I opened it, I was clueless and not knowing where to start. The next day, I enrolled in Leetcode and started from the beginning.

In her course Data Structures and Algorithms in JavaScript, Bianca mentioned “I’m a very very competitive person, and I’m just like, my God, if it’s winning, I have to beat it. So that’s [LAUGH] kind of why I started this algorithms meet up, to start, to basically force myself to learn about algorithms. So every week we would come together, I would teach about an algorithm, we’d solve it together.”

So with the same intention, wanting to master algorithms, two weeks after solving my first algorithm challenge, I decided to start an [algorithms meet-up] (just like Bianca did, back in 2013, following her footsteps).

I’ve been working on my portfolio/consulting site since last month. I will probably ship it late next month.

Digging deeper into the 8th week of the Career Clarity Mini Course by Bianca. Almost all the content in the career mini-course is things I never think about at a deeper level, it’s a life changer.

Reading [Tazkiyah (Purification of the Soul)] by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan.

Conducted a workshop at SUNA Institute of Science and Technology. In this workshop, we trained staff on Data tables, characteristics of tables and naming conventions as far as data is concern, name managers, and data validations.

Finished reading Tazkiyah (Purification of the Soul) and picked another book by Maulana Khan called [Quranic Wisdom]

Sidenote, I love Maulana Khan and his books. I HIGHLY recommend the books. Seriously, go read them.

Started teaching Web Programming and Database at Management Development Institute.

… A lot happened since January 2022 that I wasn’t keeping track of.

Some of them are:

• We finished Full Stack open from parts 0 to 7. Next up, we want to use this knowledge to build Bisnesso.
• I started freelancing/consulting this year.
• We want to turn some of the Excel business templates (sales, debt, werseh, inventory, and invoicing) into a product called Bisnesso.
• I started some side projects (personal portfolio/consulting site and barebook)
• …

From now on, I’ll be writing every month about what is happening now now now!

I will continue with the rest of the parts in Full Stack open, probably this year or next year. I wrote about my experience doing Full Stack open, but TLDR: Full Stack open takes you a deep dive into modern web development — FS is deep — where you learn React, Redux, Node.js, MongoDB, GraphQL, and TypeScript in one go!
